National Project 2015 – 2017

“Women Sharing Learning”

There are two specific areas

Culture: to develop networks within the community for all cultures including our own.

Technology: empower and enable members to use technology to a greater extent.

Soroptimist International Republic of Ireland National Project 2015 – 2017 was launched at the National Association Council Meeting by National President Margaret Geraghty on Saturday 26th September 2015.

In 1966 SI Galway suggested that a specific Charity Project at National level should be chosen every two years and that all Soroptimist Clubs should support it. Many excellent projects have been carried out since then under the guidance of a specific club. However, in 2014 a suitable project from a club had not been agreed.

A National Project brings clubs together for a common purpose and is part of Programme Action. At the National Association meeting in March 2015, members present agreed that setting up a committee to co ordinate and run a project would ease the workload for any one club. Read full report pdf icon
