About

We are an enthusiastic Club which has been involved in many community projects, including helping school children and supporting the elderly. The Club has been actively engaged in all National Projects and has participated in the Girls’ Public Speaking Competition annually – in 2021, we hosted the National Final. To date, the Club has provided three National Association Presidents. Members worked with St Oliver’s Community College, Drogheda, to enable it to become the first ‘White Ribbon School’ in Ireland in 2016. Members are also proactive in combatting gender-based violence and violence against women. We also organise a STEM project for First-Year Girls in local schools whereby they are encouraged to learn about STEM subjects and think about STEM careers. Fundraising projects over the years have included bridge nights, car boot sales, bag packing, mini-marathons, coffee mornings, garden viewing and Christmas wreath-making.
