Bray And District

Our Club celebrated our Diamond Jubilee (60 years) in September 2020 but, due to COVID restrictions, we were unable to mark the event. However, we included the celebration at our fundraiser lunch in August 2021 and presented our outstanding long-serving members with their certificates of service. We organise many activities and fundraisers to help local and international charities, including the African charity Malawi Girls’ Education Fund. We also take an interest in the environment. During National Tree Week 2021, with the aid of local expert Philip Beck of Biodiversity Bray, we planted 19 trees and saplings at the base of Bray Head in perfect planting conditions. We work hard to address women’s issues and organise events to support International Women’s Day and the U.N. Women’s Generation Equality campaign ‘Orange the World’.
