On January 6th, Soroptimist International Wexford hosted their annual Nollaig na mBan Lunch, bringing together 270 incredible women for a day of community, celebration, and giving back.
This much-loved event not only honored the tradition of Women’s Christmas but also showcased the power of women supporting women. Funds raised during the event were dedicated to two inspiring local charities:
- Purple Paddlers Slaney, a dragon boat team whose members are breast cancer survivors or currently undergoing treatment. This remarkable group promotes physical and emotional recovery through teamwork and resilience.
- Wexford Women’s Refuge, which provides vital support and a safe space for women and children escaping domestic abuse.
The event was a true testament to the Soroptimist mission of empowering women and improving lives in local communities. A heartfelt thank you to all who attended and contributed to making this celebration such a success. Together, we’re making waves of positive change.
